Required Candidate Qualifications:
· Advanced degree is required and a PhD in Medical Education is preferred;
· 5 plus years of years of progressively responsible experience in administrative duties in graduate medical education programs in a large academic health care organization;
· Experience with ACGME application, self-study, annual update and
site visit preparation.
Preferred Professional Experience includes:
· Curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation;
· Participation in a Stanford Faculty Development Center Workshop or Program;
· Peer reviewed manuscript publications;
· Project management skills including the ability to define program, project, or process objectives, identify stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, coordinate and allocate human, technological and fiscal resources to accomplish goals and objectives in a resourceful yet timely manner.
Personal Qualifications include:
· Analytical ability to conceptualize well in unstructured, dynamic and/or multi-disciplinary environments requiring analysis, foresight, intuition and mature judgment;
· Thorough knowledge of fundamental doctrines, theories, principles and practices of several disciplines, to find solutions to unusual or unprecedented problems;
· Solid Communication and interpersonal skills to persuade and negotiate on situations which are controversial and/or sensitive and result in authoritative decisions and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others and to forge alliances and garner support;
· A demonstrated willingness to pursue leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability, comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching and counseling skills.
