Working closely with the Vice Chair for Education, the Assistant Director for Radiology Education Programs oversees all programmatic areas within Radiology Education, including: residencies and fellowships (ACGME and non-ACGME); medical student education; visiting professorships, Grand Rounds and special lectures; resident library.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists in directing the strategic planning, development, and implementation of programs.
• Represents the organization at meetings, conferences and other events.
• May develop and present speeches or presentations to generate or enhance awareness of program(s).
• Provides technical support by evaluating established processes, conducting training, attending operational meetings and networking with affiliated groups.
• Monitors progress toward achieving established objectives and deadlines.
• Participates in planning, administering and monitoring program related budgets.
• Conducts research, designs new initiatives, and collaborates with others to ensure program(s) remain viable.
• May serve on, hold office in, or chair committees.
• May write publishable articles and papers.
• May supervise staff.
• Oversees or assists in developing operational and statistical reports for management and regulatory agencies.
• Ensures required records and documentation are maintained.
• Performs related responsibilities as required.
ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Serve as a team leader and supervisor to clerkship coordinator and program coordinators (includes direct supervision of 3 or more individuals)
• Lead strategic planning and implementation efforts for Radiology Education Programs
• Maintain accreditation and meet all regulatory requirements and relevant deadlines
• Manage/monitor the Radiology Education budgets
• Serve as primary administrative point of contact for Radiology Education Programs, as a liaison to the School of Medicine (SOM) and national-level organizations as required
• Serve as consultant to residency and fellowship program directors on accreditation, operational, HR, and other matters
• Represent Radiology Education Programs at national level by attending conferences (such as AUR and ACGME) and engaging in special work groups...  More >><< Less

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program(s) and five years of program related experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

PREFERRERD QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree and managing or directing multiple programs in a large and complex organizational setting preferred;
