This is an outstanding opportunity for a curious, results driven individual with a passion for graduate medical education (GME). The Associate Designated Institutional Official (Associate DIO) is a key member GME Team who will work closely with the Senior Associate Dean for GME and DIO in the oversight, improvement, and
strategic planning for the GME enterprise. The Associate DIO, in collaboration with key stakeholders, will develop and lead initiatives focusing on the clinical learning environment, will be a leader in institutional and GME program improvement, and will assist in the operations of the GME Office. The Associate DIO will work closely with the DIO, Program Directors, Program Coordinators, housestaff, the GME Office Staff, and the VCU School of Medicine’s Office of Assessment and Evaluation Studies.

Education Required: PhD, Ed.D., MD, or DO
Level and type of experience required: Minimum of three (3) years previous experience of progressively responsible GME experience supporting ACGME accredited programs
Level and type of experience preferred: previous role as a leader in educational continuous quality improvement and TAGME certification.
