The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine (ESFCOM) at Washington State University is embarking on the accreditation and development of a next generation medical school designed to train students to be physician leaders, who innovate, adapt and
discover in an ever changing healthcare landscape. The School is now inviting applications for the position of Director of Graduate Medical Education (GME) who will join the Office of Graduate Medical Education in leading the college into the future.
The Director of Graduate Medical Education (GME) reports to the Associate Dean for GME and CME on all matters pertaining to graduate medical education. S/he is accountable for the development and implementation of comprehensive programs that result in the national accreditation for the organization and its GME training programs. S/he is responsible for assisting in the establishment and oversight of the accreditation of residency and fellowship programs at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine (ESFCOM). The Director is responsible for helping to provide oversight of the GME administrative enterprise to support an optimal learning environment for all programs. S/he partners with the Associate Dean of GME to develop systems for demonstrating achievement in the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Clinical Learning Environment. S/he supervises the Manager of GME.
