- Assumes responsibility and accountability as custodian of records for all resident files, documents, and reports, etc., relative to the activity of the Graduate Medical Education.
- Manages the employee benefits program for residents and fellow physicians. Including facilitation of benefits orientation. Processes monthly insurance benefits for residents in GME.
- Liaises with Texas Medical Board, Educational Commission for Graduate Medical Education, and MedHub GME software company.
- Working knowledge of department, organization, HR and university policies and processes. Working knowledge of relevant industry federal, state, local laws and regulations including national accrediting organizations and state and federal licensing and regulatory offices.
- Manage processes for new incoming resident physicians.
- Responsible for new resident and fellow orientation.
- Responsible for all J-1 Visa and H1-B residents on the campus.
- Verbal and written communication skills to facilitate operational and learning concepts, actively listen, persuade, advise, and counsel. Knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
- Ability to maintain workflow with changing priorities, frequent interruptions, and stressful situations while working with a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information, and perform a wide range of duties that require tact, sensitivity, independent judgment, diplomacy, organizational skills, flexibility and discretion.... More >><< Less
