Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center seeks a creative and accomplished clinical, educational, and research leader as the next Chief Academic Officer. Candidates for the role should have a record of successful leadership in an academic health science center and/or integrated delivery network with academic affiliations and experience
guiding the interaction of people and systems to create the highest levels of institutional accomplishment. Candidates will combine intellectual curiosity with management acumen, be adept at facilitating connections and building partnerships and collaborations, and be able to serve as a trusted and respected member of a sophisticated institutional leadership team. The CAO must support and advance a culture that values collaboration, shared governance, thoughtful management, and aggressive pursuit of clinical, educational, and research excellence at a world-class center for patient care, training, and discovery.
Candidates should have 10 or more years’ experience as a leader in an academic medical center or large teaching hospital, with deep understanding and technical knowledge of the administrative, operational, and medical/clinical aspects of healthcare functions and facilities.
An M.D./D.O. and/or Ph.D. is required; additional degrees and national or international recognition of scholarship, e.g., through academy membership and/or fellowship, is additive. Eligibility for appropriate clinical licensure in Louisiana is required.... More >><< Less
