The Designated Institutional Official (DIO) has authority and responsibility for oversight and administration of all Jefferson Health Northeast Graduate Medical Education Programs; responsible for ensuring compliance with ACGME requirements and overseeing the ACGME Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER). The DIO will establish and implement procedures to ensure review and signature
of all programs, information including correspondence or documents etc. submitted to the ACGME by the Program Directors, which address program citations or change request for the Programs that could have significant impact on the Programs or Institution. The DIO works closely with the Program Directors and takes an active role in ensuring the coordination and success of medical education programs at Jefferson Health Northeast including medical students and graduate medical education. In conjunction with the Chair of GMEC prepares annual report to Medical Executive Committee, Board of Directors and Senior Leadership.
