HonorHealth is currently seeking a dynamic, innovative Internal Medicine Residency Program Director to help develop and teach the ambulatory/outpatient curriculum of the growing Internal Medicine Residency program in desirable North Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Program Director, Internal Medicine Residency will lead the development of the internal medicine residency program including curriculum and faculty development and is responsible to guide the accreditation process through successful ACGME review and approval. In addition, the Program Director will lead the administration and operations of the program, including all activities related to recruitment, selection, supervision, advising, evaluation and advancement of residents.
The HonorHealth Internal Medicine Residency program was created to meet a growing community need for high quality outpatient internal medicine physicians. The ambulatory focus of the program would work well for a Program Director that is also board-certified in Rheumatology and Endocrinology. The HonorHealth Internal Medicine Residency was founded in 2016 and proudly graduated six residents in the 2019 inaugural class.

As a growing program, HonorHealth is looking for a Program Director that can bring their experiences and enthusiasm to take the program to the next level. There are currently 18 internal medicine residents (six per year), one chief resident (PGY 4) and four preliminary residents. In 2019, HonorHealth launched a Cardiology fellowship. The broader faculty is a combination of employed and community-based faculty.
Residents benefit from an opportunity to work in diverse populations throughout the HonorHealth system, which includes continuity clinic in North Phoenix/Scottsdale and rotations through NOAH which is a FQHC. The resident conferences includes topics such as work-life balance, art of medicine, and business aspects of medicine for success after graduation.
