•Coordinates and organizes the resident recruitment process including communicating program offerings to prospective applicants, screening applications, recommending candidates for interview, arranging interviews, participating in the selection of candidates for the rank list, and following up with candidates.
•Performs administrative functions including scheduling rotations, attending meetings, composing and distributing meeting minutes,
and scheduling lectures/classes, evaluations and meetings for residents and faculty.
•Maintains personnel records, curriculum documentation, accreditation documentation, conference presentations, procedure documentation, and all required rotation documentation.
•Coordinates special events, educational functions, and recruitment events. Schedules and organizes resident education sessions.
•Develops processes and standardized formats to improve the communication and efficiency of the department. Reviews and updates Program Policy Manual and Curriculum on an annual basis, in conjunction with the Program Director and Chief Resident. Ensures resident/fellow, faculty and staff compliance with all institutional and departmental policies and procedures. In addition, other responsibilities as assigned.
•Functions as liaison between the medical students, residents, fellows, faculty, hospital departments, attending physicians, administration, pharmaceutical reps, and outside institutions
•Maintains the New Innovations software to track compliance for resident/fellow duty hours, scheduling of clinical rotations, maintenance of faculty, resident, and fellow evaluations of rotations, exit surveys and procedural logs. May also utilize New Innovations and other software to prepare reports to qualify residency/fellowship programs for direct and indirect payments from the Center for Medicare, Medicaid Services (CMS).
•Participates in budget analysis with Medical Education to maintain department specific budget and restricted funds.... More >><< Less
