We are looking for a dynamic faculty member to join The Florida State University College of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program (FSUCOM IMRP)
operated in partnership with Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) in Tallahassee, Florida. The program became ACGME accredited in 2012. Our faculty members are committed to providing a solid,
yet engaging education to our residents. The program provides exposure to a wide array of clinical scenarios and quality improvement opportunities. We have a dedicated director of research to mentor residents with a desire to pursue research projects and an array of medical subspecialists support the training program. In addition to clinical care and teaching, some of our faculty have important administrative roles within the FSU College of Medicine.
We are a unique, collaborative group of clinician educators focused on training the next generation of physicians. We offer a balance of didactic experiences through morning report, noon lecture, journal club, etc., with an emphasis toward hands-on learning and evidence-based practice. Additionally, we have caps on ward rotations so that you can enjoy medicine with a manageable patient load.
The program is currently searching for a faculty member with a passion for teaching, who loves education and enjoys working with residents and students. The program offers a variety of methods to counteract burnout and develop wellness for residents and faculty, such as social celebrations at faculty houses, retreats, etc.

Tallahassee is the state capitol of Florida and has a fascinating past with a diverse population. It is often described as the “other Florida" with its deeply rooted history, rolling hills, mild climate, Southern-style hospitality and canopy roads of moss-draped oaks. Home to two major universities (FSU and FAMU) and a large community college (Tallahassee Community College), the Tallahassee community provides a rich variety of offerings in the performing arts, entertainment, and collegiate sports. The downtown area is alive and thriving and welcomed the new Cascades Park in 2013. The surrounding area is known for Wakulla Springs, the world’s largest fresh water spring, and several other crystal-clear spring fed rivers. Salt water fishing is 45 minutes away, and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world (St. George Island, Cape San Blas, Destin, Fort Walton Beach) stretch to the west as close as 90 minutes away. Outdoor activities are abundant and available year-round. This magical location in the Sunshine State lies only four-five hours from the castles and crowds of Disney. Tallahassee is a great place to live and an even better place to teach residents and raise a family. Expect to fall in love with Tallahassee, the area and us.... More >><< Less
