Simulation Training Specialist

This is a great opportunity to join MMC’s Hannaford Center for Safety, Innovation, and Simulation: a state-of-the-art simulation center that includes:
•A Standardized Patient lab with 10 outpatient rooms and 1 inpatient room
•Four high-fidelity rooms, including a satellite team training lab
•Surgical and general skills labs
position will support undergraduate and graduate medical education in a variety of simulation activities using members of the community trained to portray patients or family members of patients. Consisting of two education specialists, a simulation training specialist, four simulation specialists, a medical director, operations manager, and an administrative Specialist, the simulation team works within the Department of Medical Education to support the academic mission of the organization.
Reporting to a Simulation Educator, this position is responsible for training personnel, coordinating logistics, and delivering educational simulation events within the Hannaford Center for Safety, Innovation and Simulation. This position will work closely with simulated patients and clinical actors, Department of Medical Education staff, and faculty to ensure programming is of high quality and meets the needs and expectations of the various educational programs. This position is eligible for relocation assistance.
•Bachelor’s degree or 5 year’s equivalent work experience in a related field such as healthcare, simulation, corporate training, or theater.
•High-level interpersonal skills to work with clinicians and medical staff at all levels of medical care, with experience developing curriculum preferred.
•Proficient in basic computer skills, including Word and
