seeking a Graduate Medical Education Training Program Administrator – Radiology.
Job Duties:
• Oversees daily operations for multiple departmental educational programs including core residency and sub-specialty fellowships; may include undergraduate medical education programs.
• Designs trainee performance evaluations (including milestone evaluations) for programs collaboratively with program directors, associate program directors, and members of the Clinical Competency and Program Evaluation committees; standardizes evaluation delivery methods; and creates reports to interpret the results and trends across all departmental residency and fellowship programs.
• Creates, reviews, and maintains policies and procedures related to all educational endeavors for departmental Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs.
• Reviews and monitors that all departmental programs comply with accrediting agency standards as well as university and departmental policies; and acts as a resource to faculty, residents, medical students, fellows, and staff regarding the interpretation and implementation of these policies.
• Ensures that citations and areas for improvement are addressed; oversees preparation for and participates in accreditation site visits, institutional reviews, and self-studies for all GME departmental programs.
• Analyzes data to identify trends across all GME departmental programs; designs and implements initiatives to address program weaknesses in conjunction with the Program Director, the Clinical Competency and Program Evaluation Committees, and other GME Program Coordinators.
• Develops and oversees budgets for all GME departmental programs, individual trainee stipends and research grant allotments; tracks, approves and creates financial reports to summarize expenditures for each program ensuring that affiliated contracts regarding education are sufficient to meet program needs.
• Oversees the maintenance of all GME departmental program's records including preparation of complex reports for accrediting agencies and university administration, providing statistical analysis of the programs within the department.
• Develops and maintains knowledge and expertise of applicable accreditation requirements and their interpretation, and serve as the departmental resource for GME accreditation and compliance issues.
• Consults with and advises Program Directors and Program Coordinators on accreditation requirements and processes.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of the rules, regulations, policies, administrative guidelines, and legal issues that impact or govern the GME departmental programs to ensure UT Southwestern is in compliance; trains and mentors other GME program coordinators and staff on these items.
• Oversees the onboarding and credentialing processes of new and transferring GME trainees; ensures that GME departmental programs are meeting deadlines established by Accreditation Council Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), Texas Medical Board (TMB), GME, et. al.
• Provides mentoring, coaching, and training to improve performance of GME Program Coordinators (I,II,III) on procedures and policies established by the program(s), departments, sponsoring institution, ACGME, etc.
• Standardizes the utilization and maintenance of the MedHub Residency Management System by all departmental GME programs to ensure compliance with GME policies.
• Provides mentoring, coaching and training (when applicable) to GME Program Coordinators through GME sponsored development sessions, state, regional, and or national conferences.
• Oversees the department's Complement and Addition to Programs (CAP) process; assists Program Directors and Program Coordinators as needed in the preparation of required documentation.
• Manages and approves PeopleSoft/HCM transactions, as needed.
• Liaises with the Office of International Affairs on trainee visa requests.
• Cultivates working relationships with the Office of GME to remain compliant with all necessary requirements for all residents/fellows, visiting residents, and core faculty across all departmental GME programs; and coaches other Program Coordinators and staff on this skill.
• Attend and or present at local, regional, and national GME and ACGME conferences; and mentors/coaches other GME Program Coordinators on creating and delivering presentations.
• Supports GME Program Directors and Coordinators with special projects.
• Attends GME related conferences as needed.
• Supervise GME Program Coordinators and staff as applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
