With oversight and direction from the Program Director/Administrative Director of Medical Education (ADME), the Program Coordinator is responsible for the operational and financial management of the fellowship training programs and support for the Program Director and Fellows. The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of ACGME policies and hospital policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.

The Program Coordinator will continually assess and direct a wide range of programmatic issues including long range planning, recruiting trainees, maintaining databases, communicating with faculty and trainees regarding a range of issues, and managing internal and external program relations.

The Program Coordinator is a member of the education design and leadership of the fellowship program, therefore, ultimately responsible for the fellows within the programs.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the Program Director in the overall and day-to-day operations of the Program

2. Organization of the recruitment, interview and NRMP Match process

3. Functional understanding of ACGME Program Accreditation and assist in ensuring the Fellowships fulfill all appropriate requirements

4. Coordinating the Fellowships orientation program and onboarding of new fellows as well as assisting with graduation ceremony preparations.

5. Coordinating the Fellowship educational experience in conjunction with the Program Director including rotation scheduling, lecture series and fellow well-being activities.

6. Preparing agenda, taking and distributing minutes for various Medical Education Committee Meetings

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
•Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
•Excellent presentation skills
•Ability to make decisions independently and to escalate issues as needed
•Ability to efficiently and accurately manage multiple tasks and projects
•Ability to work independently, with limited guidance
•Ability to organize information
•Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality
•Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s Preferred
•3-5 years related graduate medical experience.
