Swedish Medical Center is seeking a full time residency program manager for the Family Medicine residency program based at our Cherry Hill Campus. This campus also manages the family medicine rural training program and the Sports Medicine Fellowship. The program manager will play an integral role in directing the financial and operational support activities of the family medicine residency. This person will also work closely with the central GME office.

In this position you will:
-Be responsible for the operational and financial activities of the Family Medicine Residency program.
-Supervise and coordinate the process of selecting the resident staff.
-Coordinates the resident and faculty rotations, curriculum, schedules, meetings and monthly evaluations.
-Manages Medical Education Coordinators, Administrative Assistants, Fellowship Coordinators and other applicable support staff including hiring, disciplinary and performance development activities.
-Manages contracts that may include physicians, residents, university officials, other residency program and prospective residency candidates.
-Maintains all affiliation and PLA agreements.
-Planning, organizing and coordinating administration of the Family Medicine Medical Center’s residency activities.
-Manages and oversees special and service projects for residency and network, including grant development and research.
-Responsible for space planning, maintenance, supplies and all contract services.
-Works with faculty and resident physician to maintain and improve service delivery and training.
-Prepares budgets and financial reports.

Founded in 1974, the Swedish Family Medicine Residency at Cherry Hill is one of the pioneering programs in Family Medicine. At its heart our program has a mission and a long tradition of training family doctors to work with underserved, economically disadvantaged, culturally diverse and disenfranchised communities. We provide evidence based, community oriented primary care with an emphasis on OB, Inpatient Medicine and Behavioral Health. The program operates as a partnership between faculty and residents with resident leadership at all levels from curriculum development to residency policies and clinic operations. We believe that empowered residents who fully participate in the design of the program, along with outstanding faculty teaching and mentorship, are the key to preparing graduates to practice in any setting: urban, rural or international, clinical or academic. We are the largest Family Medicine residency program in the five state WWAMI region and we attract over 1200 applicants annually for our 14 intern positions. Required qualifications for this position include:
-Bachelor’s Degree
-Minimum of two years as a Senior Medical Residency Program Coordinator, plus at least three years working in a medically or educationally related field.
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) and Residency Tracking Software (New Innovations)
-Knowledge of scheduling programs, e-mail, voice mail, and online evaluations tools.
-Ability to assimilate graduate programs requirements.
-Ability to review financial statements and track expenditures.
-Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of individuals
