Education: Board certification in emergency medicine.
Experience: At least 3 years’ experience as a core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency program and demonstrated experience in a graduate medical education leadership role.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Previous leadership/administrative experience, strong administrative and team-building skills, excellent interpersonal and communication
skills,
scholarship in medical education. Willingness to combine administrative and teaching responsibilities. Familiarity with national (e.g. ACGME, NRMP) and local requirements (Riverside and Riverside GME Committee).
Certificate/License/Registration: Board certification in emergency medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) and eligible for licensure in the state of Virginia. All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.

Evidence of ongoing involvement in scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications
Significant previous experience in GME leadership positions
Significant faculty development or formal training in medical education

Experience in both safety-net and community-based settings
