The Florida State University College of Medicine will educate and develop exemplary physicians who practice patient-centered health care, discover and advance knowledge, and are responsive to community needs, especially through service to elder, rural, minority, and underserved populations. The FSU College of Medicine will lead the nation in preparing compassionate physicians to deliver the highest quality 21st Century patient-centered medicine to communities of greatest need.
The Florida State University College of Medicine Office of Graduate Medical Education will foster programs that provide optimal clinical learning environments to develop exemplary physicians who independently practice culturally sensitive, patient-centered health care; commit to life-long learning and wellbeing; and lead their specialties and communities, especially through compassionate service to vulnerable populations. The College of Medicine Office of Graduate Medical Education currently supports 25 residency and fellowship programs across the state of Florida with its nine healthcare partners with over 300+ residents and fellows. The FSU GME enterprise is growing and aims to add more healthcare partners, residency programs, and residents.
