The Family Medicine Residency Program Director is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the Family Medicine Residency Program. This role ensures compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements, fosters a high-quality resident educational experience, and leads program curriculum development, faculty development, and research initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
• Program development: Create the program, including setting goals and objectives. Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the Family Medicine Residency Program.
• Ensure compliance with ACGME and institutional accreditation standards and requirements.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that supports resident education and aligns with best practices in family medicine.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor faculty members, ensuring a high standard of education and mentorship.
• Oversee the resident selection process, ensuring adherence to National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) guidelines.

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Family Medicine.
• At least five years of clinical experience in Family Medicine, including a minimum of three years in a leadership or academic role.
• Prior experience in residency education or medical education leadership is required.
• Knowledge of ACGME accreditation standards and commitment to graduate medical education.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop faculty and residents.
• Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
