Essential Functions
Performs advanced, diversified and confidential administrative duties.
Assists with preparation of appropriate documentation for credentialing of residents requesting external rotations with affiliated and non-affiliated institutions.
Creates, prepares and coordinates presentations, including charts, graphs, etc.
Appropriately represents the Department to the public and external agencies, placing special emphasis through
direct contact with medical schools/universities, faculty, residents, fellows and physician assistants.
Assists with administrative orientation to incoming medical students, physician assistants and visiting residents.
Creates spreadsheets in excel for student data and GME.
Assists with New Innovation reports for GME Accreditation Compliance.
Create and revise P&Ps for Medical Elective Clerkships and Visiting Resident programs.
Assists with medical student application letters, payments and orientation process.
Establishes and maintains files and records on an ongoing basis and purges resident and fellow files and prepares for archiving.
Answer phones, route callers, take messages and resolves both routine and complex inquires.
Organizes meetings, composes and types routine and non-routine correspondence, reports, special projects, technical papers, etc.
Works with sensitive employee information and confidential organization information.
Interacts professionally with all levels of management.
Prepares new hire packets and distributes to departments to be sent to new residents/fellows.
Maintains GME Web content.
Prepares, distributes and maintains Medical Education House staff Roster and Beeper List.
Assists with the preparation of training certificates for distribution: signature, frames, stamps, etc.
Assists and participates in new resident orientation, graduation and other GME receptions.
Takes minutes for GME Administration Committees, as needed.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Prioritizes workload to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrates the ability to employ independent judgment and self-direction, as needed.
Acts as liaison between the medical students and departmental management, assuring compliance with the Medical Student Manual and departmental policies.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature and workshops.
Qualifications
Experience
Three (3) years of healthcare or academic administrative experience, or related experience.
Associate degree may offset one (1) year of experience.
Bachelor degree may offset two (2) years of experience.
Education/Training
High school graduate or equivalent education.
Experience with New Innovations is a plus. Notary is a plus.... More >><< Less
