With the support of Morehouse School of Medicine and CommonSpirit Health, the Internal Medicine Residency Program Director will be at the forefront of helping to shape Graduate Medical Education at St. John's Regional Medical Center and it's sister facility, St. John's Hospital Camarillo. Our hospitals are located on the California coast, in beautiful Ventura County halfway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles.

The Program Director will lead and oversee the founding of our first Internal Medicine Residency Program, including all policy development, recruitment, orientation, assessment, remediation, mentoring and career counseling of residents, as well as curriculum development and successful accreditation management. The ideal candidate will be comfortable being the liaison among Hospital Administration, Morehouse School of Medicine, teaching faculty, teaching sites, professional associations, and program affiliates and will remain consistent with the Mission and Values of CommonSpirit Health, Morehouse School of Medicine and the More in Common Alliance.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Graduation from medical school or osteopathic medical school.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in administrative, educational and/or clinical leadership with Program Director or Associate Program Director experience preferred.
Licensure:
Active Board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine; Active California Medical License.
Training:
Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency training program....  More >><< Less
