The Health Science Center (HSC) is looking for a Program Coordinator II to serve as a member of the School of Medicine - Psychiatry Residency. The Residency Program Coordinator II, in partnership with the residency program director, is responsible for coordinating and managing daily activities. The incumbent’s responsibilities include those of curriculum delivery coordination, office management, continuous accreditation readiness, and personnel management. The Program Coordinator II serves as a liaison to program administrators, residents, faculty, and associated staff of the School of Medicine. The incumbent also is responsible for many aspects of resident and faculty recruitment, alumni relations, and promotion of the department’s comprehensive educational mission. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of program coordination experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting executives in a fast-paced environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Four years of residency program, medical education, or undergraduate education program coordination experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Knowledge and experience with event planning and/or project management

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree

Five years of residency program or medical education program coordination experience; psychiatry or behavioral health program experience

Current certification from Training Administrators for Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME)

Knowledge of and experience in instructional design and/or curriculum development

Recent experience with ACGME institutional or program site visits and CLER consultative visits
