Oversee the launch and operations of the Baptist Health Simulation Center, patient safety simulation department and online instructional resources. The Director’s scope includes administration, personnel, equipment, software purchase and maintenance, financial management, growth, efficiency, and strategic planning for the departments. The new Simulation Center and its affiliated site(s) will support
interprofessional education of medical and nursing residents and fellows, and patient safety training for current clinicians. The Director works with physicians and nursing leadership, clinical faculty, and the risk management department to develop new curriculum or services, identify funding opportunities and explore business expansion in support of the institution’s strategic goal to attract, educate and retain outstanding healthcare professionals who meet the needs of the communities Baptist Health South Florida serves. In collaboration with program faculty, he/she develops and ensures the quality of simulation (low, medium, and high fidelity) and online learning modules that support the evaluation of learner competencies. The Director supports Academics senior leadership with priorities and objectives identified on the Strategic Plan designed to enhance learning outcomes.
