Senior Vice President & Executive Director of FAIMER

Intealth invites inquiries, nominations, and expressions of interest for the role of Executive Director for their division of FAIMER. The incumbent will also serve as a Senior Vice President within the Intealth organization at large. As a valued member of the Intealth Executive Leadership Team, the Senior Vice President and Executive Director (SVP/ED) will play a pivotal role in advancing the work of FAIMER and developing Intealth strategy by leveraging the extensive resources and collaborative capabilities within the integrated organization. The integrated Intealth organization includes ECFMG, the Exchange Visitor Sponsorship Program, FAIMER, and Government Relations, which together provide a diverse portfolio of services to support to educators, students, medical graduates, and regulatory bodies worldwide.

Intealth is a Philadelphia-based tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization with a workforce of 340 individuals, including eighteen dedicated professionals serving within the FAIMER division. Through strategic integration, Intealth brings together the expertise and resources that advance quality in health care worldwide in order to improve health care for all.

Established in 2000, FAIMER promotes excellence in international health professions education through programmatic and research activities. To date, FAIMER has trained more than 2,000 fellows worldwide in partnership with its FAIMER Regional Institutes (FRIs) and has partnered with many organizations to advance the quality of health professions education.

The ideal candidate for the position of SVP/ED will hold a doctorate level degree and a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible senior leadership experience with emphasis on medical education, research, and assessment. Experience working globally with medical educators is preferred. Candidates should be entrepreneurial, collaborative, visionary, business-minded and be a recognized or emerging leader in US domestic and international medical education.

Candidates must possess proven senior / executive leadership experience, outstanding communication and relationship building skills, and hold the highest ethical standards.
