The position involves providing full scope of primary care services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventative care and health maintenance to a complex adult and pediatric population at the clinics.
Didactic teaching – as core faculty, facilitate and be present for the majority of educational
conferences with contributions from other family medicine academic and community faculty members or specialist faculty members, as appropriate
Clinical instruction and supervision of residents during outpatient adult service in rural hospital setting teaching and providing of care from FM perspective.
Clinical instruction and supervision of residents during outpatient children service during once per week session in rural hospital setting teaching care from FM perspective.
Serve as an adviser and role model for residents.
Participation in scholarly activity such as research, grant-writing, publications, presentations, and professional organization leadership.
Participation and leadership in program clinical competency and program evaluation committee.
Teaching of medical students and other allied professional learners if / as delegated.
Participate in the recruitment, management, and retention of family medicine faculty providers.
Advise on purchase of medical equipment.
Assist in planning for the development of new clinical programs, resident rotations, and program expansion.
Coordinate with the DIO, Program Director and CMO to maintain an educational program fully compliant with ACGME and Residency Review Committee requirements.
Faculty must establish and maintain an environment of inquiry and scholarship with an active research component. (Core)
Dedicate at least 60 percent time (at least 24 hours per week, or 1200 hours per year), to the program, exclusive of patient care without residents; and, devote the majority of their professional effort to teaching, administration, scholarly activity, and patient care within the program....
