Exciting Opportunity to become the Founding Program Director for a New Dermatology Residency Program in Nevada!

Are you ready for the next chapter in your academic career? HCA has an opportunity for a founding Program Director to build a new Dermatology Residency Program in Reno, Nevada to open in July of 2021. Chosen Program Director will establish the strategic direction of the Program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of such. The Program Director is expected to support the integration of the Dermatology Residency Program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes an optimal environment for professional practice and medical education. This program is based out of MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada, however, the position is located at the training site in Reno, Nevada.

Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
• General administration of the program
• Curriculum planning
• Recruitment, Core Program Clinical Teaching, Lectures/Conferences, Supervision and Evaluation of residents & the program as a whole
• GME Committees/Meetings
• GME Research/Scholarly Activity

• must have current board certification in Dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology or by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology
• must currently possess or have the ability to obtain an active Nevada Medical license;
• must have specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience
• must have a minimum of 1 year documented experience serving as a core faculty member for an ACGME-accredited dermatology program; (previous experience as Program Director or Associate Program Director a plus)
• must have ongoing clinical activity
