With oversight and direction from the Director – Medical Education, the Academic Affairs Coordinator is responsible for the administrative, operational and daily management of all medical student, Advanced Practice Clinician students and resident internal and external rotations. Further, the coordinator maintains oversight of all applicable affiliation agreements. The Academic Affairs
Coordinator reports directly to the Director – Medical Education with additional reporting duties and responsibilities to the Chief Academic Officer/Designated Institutional Official.
The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies and hospital policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
The Academic Affairs Coordinator will continually assess and manage a wide range of academic issues including long range rotation planning, rotator orientation, developing applicable projects, analyzing administrative workflow, maintaining databases, communicating with faculty and students/residents regarding a range of issues, and managing internal and external program relations....
