With oversight and direction from the Program Director, the Program Coordinator is a member of the leadership team and is critical to the success of the program. As such, the Program Coordinator must possess skills in leadership and personnel management. Program Coordinators are expected to develop unique knowledge of the
ACGME and Program Requirements, policies, and procedures. The Program Coordinator assists in accreditation efforts, educational programming, and support of residents. The Program Coordinator is responsible for recruiting and on-boarding trainees, developing projects, managing program financials, maintaining databases which include but are not limited to the following: ERAS, ACGME, New Innovations, Amion, National Residency Match Program, and AAMC, communicating with faculty and trainees regarding a range of issues and managing internal and external program relations. In addition to regular duties, the Program Coordinator is also responsible for assisting with the following: Annual Program Evaluation, Program Evaluation Committee, Clinical Competency Committee, ACGME site visits, Annual Program Review, ACGME Milestone reporting, and Self-Studies.
