HCA Graduate Medical Education is one of the nation’s largest providers of residency and fellowship training programs across the nation. With more than 203 programs across 21 specialties and 43 hospitals, HCA GME is building a leading network of innovative, patient-centered graduate medical education programs. We believe graduate medical education
is much more than medical training. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of physicians to care for and improve human life by focusing on patient-centered approaches to practicing the latest evidence-based medicine. HCA hospitals currently train more than 2,650 residents and fellows with that number growing to 5,500 by 2020.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The GME Faculty Development Director is responsible for working collaboratively with subject matter experts to engage, unite, and support the creation and implementation of faculty relations and development programs to support HCA GME strategic goals.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
•Development, marketing and executing high-level strategic plans related to staff or faculty employee engagement and development
•Organizational and individual development needs assessment
•Implementing programs and trainings for diverse audiences to build a continuous learning environment that addresses learning needs, develops talent, and fosters engagement
•Experience applying assessment methodologies to evaluate programmatic impact
•Project management experience to take complex, high impact projects from conception to fruition; while developing quantifiable measurements, and prioritizing large workload to meet strict deadlines and budgets in an environment of multiple projects and changing priorities
•Continuous knowledge of academic literature and resources in the areas of faculty development, academic support assessment, learning styles, program review and institutional effectiveness
