The Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency Program at Broadlawns Medical Center will lead and direct a newly accredited residency program approved for a total complement of sixteen residents, four in each class.

The newly accredited residency program represents a collaborative educational partnership between two institutions that are educational leaders in central Iowa, Broadlawns Medical Center and UnityPoint Health-Des Moines. The two institutions, long-time partners in medical education, currently sponsor 9 high quality residency programs and have over 130 residents currently in training between the two institutions. Both institutions are leaders in behavioral health in Iowa, and include large inpatient and outpatient populations. Both provide robust institutional support to the sponsored educational programs.

Job Qualifications
1. Education - MD or DO degree required.
2. Licensure / Certification - must hold current board certification in Psychiatry, and must be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Iowa.
3. Experience - the successful candidate will have at least three years clinical experience and experience in graduate medical education. Ideally, the candidate will have experience as a member of the leadership of a psychiatry residency program.<< Less
