Freeman Health Systems (FHS) seeks an experienced, community-oriented Family Medicine Program Director to develop and lead a community-engaged Family Medicine Residency Training focused on the health needs of Southern Missouri. The Family Medicine Program Director will develop a graduate medical education program responsive to the needs of the patients in the community. The Family Medicine Program will become the 5th residency program sponsored by Freeman Health Systems. The Designated Institutional Official and Senior Administration, as well as faculty and staff are prepared to provide leadership support, accreditation expertise, and educational resources for a Family Medicine program leader focused on producing Family Medicine physicians who will promote prevention and develop evidence to support the achievement of health equity in addition to providing expert diagnosis and treatment to the community....  More >><< Less

Requirements:
• MD/DO degree;
• Five years' experience as a practicing Family Medicine Physician.
• Two years' experience as core faculty member in an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
• Demonstrated leadership in teaching, experience in community-engaged health care research.
• Demonstrated instructional and presentation skills.
• An entrepreneurial spirit to engage collaborators to attract highly qualified and committed trainees and faculty.
• Knowledge and experience in an integrated care setting.
• Track record of building affiliations with community partners and clinical sites to create unique training experiences.
• Established scholarly activity agenda and productivity.
• Experience in providing research mentorship and education to students, residents, and faculty.
