JOB SUMMARY
Provides a wide variety of highly skilled technical and education staff support services in the department, and academic settings. This position will function with relative independence and independent judgment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides administrative assistance to the Program Director. Duties may include preparation of research grant applications, manuscripts,
and proposals. (Must have in-depth knowledge on proper Manuscript formatting). Plans and books speakers for professional meetings, assisting with travel arrangements. These administrative duties encompass 20% of the daily functions. Coordinates educational conferences to include weekly core curriculum, grand rounds, simulation labs and monthly journal club. Establishing dates, finding conference rooms, distributing handouts, catering, and communications to speakers and participants. Tracks resident participation and all attendance at educational programs.
Facilitates certification, licensure, professional liability, expense reimbursements and coordinates leave; coordinates travel arrangements, plans and organizes occasional educational events and calendar arrangements.
Assists with maintaining records and databases, communicating curriculum information to students, residents and faculty. Assists with the program application process and maintains documentation for continued accreditation. Maintains data in New Innovations: resident/faculty evaluations, annual block schedules, and resident duty hour.
Maintains resident/fellow portfolios and regularly updates milestones documents. Assists Education Committees with applicant reviews and coordinates applicant interviews. Responsible for managing the ERAS system throughout the application season and completes match list with NRMP.
Attends Graduate Medical Education meetings and assists Program Directors with required reports. Attends all education committee meetings and clinical competency committee meetings providing minutes of each meeting. Demonstrates the components of the ICARE values statement.
Follows all safety rules while on the job. Reports accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards. Completes all hospital required and job-related in-services and applies the information s needed. Performs other duties as assigned.... More >><< Less
