The Department of Anesthesiology at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland for Wayne State University Physician Group in Pontiac, MI has an opening for a Residency Program Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure compliance of the ACGME program. Duties include: Maintaining all records on applicants, current and past residents and rotating medical students, ensuring accurate entry of data pertaining to resident case logs with the ABA, working with the Program Director and liaisons with the GME Office to ensure residency program compliance, assist in recruitment of residents using Electronic Residency Application Service, coordination and scheduling of Residency Program applications and interviews, send confirmation letters and preparation of interview packets, assist in making schedules (e.g., CME, call, etc.), coordination and tracking of all resident contracts, licenses, privileges, and expirations, report information pertaining to applicants, licensing and renewal of residents, and case logs to state and national boards, coordination of activities such as guest speakers, grand rounds, regular lectures, simulation sessions, conference attendance, graduation, awards ceremonies, etc.

Graduation from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of work experience and education.
At least 3 years work experience in an academic healthcare environment
Working knowledge of computer and software applications including New Innovations and Microsoft Office
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytic and problem solving skills
Excellent organizational skills
