The Director of Medical Education will be responsible for the overall leadership of and accountability for the hospital’s medical education programs providing educational training for medical students, residents, fellows and CME for physicians. Ensures institutional and program compliance and accreditation. In collaboration with the Administrative Director for Medical Education (Designated Institutional Official), identifies and implements strategies to address hospital goals with respect to medical education while meeting the requirements of accrediting and other agencies to ensure program quality.

Candidate must be board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics or the equivalent appropriate American Specialty board. Experience in a leadership role within the medical educational continuum is required. Candidate must obtain/maintain an active license to practice medicine in the State of Ohio, as well as DEA certification. Ability to obtain appointment in good standing to the hospital’s medical staff, as well as an appropriate academic appointment at Northeastern Ohio Medical University. Proven track record of creative leadership and cross disciplinary collaboration is required. Outstanding diplomacy skills are a must. Strong communication, leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
