Under the direction of the Director of Academic Affairs and Manager of Medical Education, the Academic Database Administrator is responsible for the administration of multiple academic management systems including but not limited to New Innovations (Residency Personnel Management, Duty Hours, Scheduling, Credentialing), VSAS (Medical Student credentialing and scheduling), and myClinicalExchange (Nursing, Allied Health & Ancillary student credentialing and scheduling). Requires a Bachelor's degree in IT, Education, Math, Science or related degree; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible database administration related experience that demonstrates a high level of understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Prefer knowledge of Resident Management System. Knowledge of database administration, computers and some knowledge of IT networks. Interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and written including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling and punctuation; organizational and problem solving skills; demonstrated proficiency in technical application in data analysis.
