Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Manager in Medical Education for the Swedish Family Medicine Residency Program at Cherry Hill.

The Manager in Medical Education is responsible for the organization, supervision and implementation of quality education programs in the areas of undergraduate medical education, graduate medical education, fellowships, and allied health professionals rotations for the residency program. The Manager supervises a staff of three, coordinates information across five training sites in Seattle and a sixth site in rural Port Angeles and coordinates with the central Graduate Medical Education office at Swedish Medical Center.

• The Manager has responsibility for maintaining contracted affiliated relationships for visiting trainees, as well as Swedish employed residents and fellows.
• The Manager works directly with physician Program Director to maintain program accreditation with the ACGME and other regulatory agencies.
• The Manager supports the institutional responsibilities related to the appropriate accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Required qualifications for this position include:
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a health-related field is required

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
• A Master’s degree in education or health-related field is preferred
• Four years increasingly responsible experience in residency program or institutional Graduate Medical Education coordination, administration, or management
• Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and initiate appropriate actions under circumstances not previously experienced or clearly defined; to work in an environment when multiple projects exist simultaneously; and to deal with a constantly changing environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work with a minimum of direction
